This program is designed to meet the needs of African Americans who are HIV positive or at-risk for sexually transmitted diseases due to drug abuse and/or failure to practice safe sex.

Staff in this department is well-versed on the latest trends and techniques used to improve sexual health and well being. The prevention/outreach workers and community intervention specialists contact those people who are at-risk and provide HIV/AIDS/STD prevention education presentations.

Presentations and health forums are conducted by Red Cross trained staff in the areas of injecting drug users, HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases.

Additionaly, Turning Point provides HIV case management services to help individuals living with HIV or AIDS find medical and social services.

Support groups are also available for members of various communities.
